The Fish Lake Area has attracted many journalists, film and advertising companies over the years.
- 2006 Wonderland Tours Inc. Filmed a Japanese reality show. Ian McDougall starred in the show with a young Japanese woman. In the film she was taught to mush dogs and trap by Ian.
- 2005 a mini series by Bonterra Productions called “ManTracker” filmed 2 episodes at Fish Lake.
- 2004, Nicholas Vanier used the Coal Lake Cabin for a set in his Film; “The Last Trapper”
- Fish Lake was the location for a photo shoot for a Tommy Hilfiger ad.
