Terms and Conditions

By booking or participating in a tour and/or any related product or services with Sky High Wilderness
Ranch you agree to these terms & conditions.
By booking a tour you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these
terms and conditions. If you make a booking on behalf of other participants, you guarantee that you have
the authority to accept and do accept these terms on behalf of the other participants in your party.


1. Reservation and Payment For Multi Day Tours and Day tours
We take reservations via phone or email. We will email our reservation form. For multi day tours: To
safely secure your spot on the tour we ask for a down payment of 25% CAD which is due within 10 days
of confirmed reservation which otherwise will be cancelled without any further notice. Once receiving the
down payment a legal contract is valid. Full payment is due 30 days prior to tour departure. This can be
done by wire transfer or through the invoice with the online payment link we will send you.
Currency is in Canadian Dollars and gst(tax) is 5%.
- All tours are subject to availability. We highly recommend that you book in advance to avoid
disappointment.
- Your booking is confirmed by Sky High Wilderness Ranch by direct email. We will send you the
invoice with the noted amount owing. We will issue a receipt of the deposit/payment. Please
check your confirmation carefully and let our office know if there are any errors.
- You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. You agree to provide full, complete and
accurate information to Sky High Wilderness Ranch.
- You acknowledge that adventure travel and the service offered at Sky High Wilderness Ranch
involves a significant amount of risk . You must read, understand and complete a waiver/release
form before participating in any tours at Sky High Wilderness Ranch.
- You acknowledge that Sky High Wilderness Ranch provides tours and services that include close
proximity to our Dogs and Horses. You acknowledge that you are comfortable to be around a
large number of dogs and you're not allergic to dogs. You acknowledge that you are comfortable
around our large horses and you're not allergic. Our Dogs and Horses are our family and they
are involved in everything we do. You acknowledge and understand that you cannot bring your own dog to any tours are services we offer.

2. Required Medical Information
For all multi day Adventures you must complete the Sky High Wilderness Ranch’s Medical form, our
office will send you the form when your booking is confirmed.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions which may impact your ability to travel, participate in a
tour, travel to remote areas without immediate access to medical facilities or may adversely affect the
experience of others on the tour, Sky High Wilderness will require the medical history form to be signed
by a licensed and practicing physician.
Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and has to be disclosed to Sky High Wilderness Ranch at
the time of booking.
In the event that you do not complete the required medical form for any reason by the deadline indicated
on the booking confirmation, Sky High Wilderness Ranch reserves the right to cancel your booking and all
applicable cancellation fees will apply.
You are responsible for assessing whether a tour is suitable for you. Sky High Wilderness Ranch will not
provide medical advice, however you are certainly more than welcome to contact us to discuss the
expected level of fitness and possible risk but it is your own responsibility to assess those risks and
requirements of each aspects of the tour based on your own unique circumstances, limitation, fitness
level and medical requirement.


3. Travel Insurance
Sky High Wilderness Ranch highly recommends that you have travel insurance. This insurance must
cover personal injury and medical expenses. You are strongly recommended to extend your coverage to
include cancellation, curtailment and all other expenses that may arise as a result of loss, damage, injury,
delay or inconvenience while traveling.
Sky High Wilderness Ranch is not responsible for any incidental expensed or consequential losses that
you incur as a result of the injury or illness. You are fully responsible for all cost associated with but not
limited to:
- Medical evacuation during the trip do to personal injury or death
- Any Hospital or medical bills
- Trip cancellation fees
- Additional fees due to unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays or cancellations
- Infectious disease contracted through viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungi which may be transmitted
through direct or indirect contact.
- non refundable flights
- Loss of earnings
- Loss of Enjoyment
You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any tours offered by Sky High
Wilderness Ranch. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient coverage and comply with
the terms of the applicable insurance plans. You are responsible for advising tour insurers of the type of
travel, destinations(s) and activities included in your booking so that the insurer may provide appropriate
coverage.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
It is your responsibility to obtain, at your own expense, all documentation required by Canadian
Customs, as well as Travel Insurance. Prior to departure, you should determine the documentation
required. If you do not possess the documentation required, the carrier may refuse passage. In such
circumstances, no refunds will be issued by Sky High Wilderness Ranch.


4. Special Requirements
All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to Sky High Wilderness Ranch on the medical
form. Sky High Wilderness will use reasonable efforts to accommodate food requests.


5. Age Requirements
-Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of travel is considered a minor. Minors must be accompanied by
an adult and Waiver signed by the Legal Guardian.
-For our multi day Dog Sled Tours tours and Half day dog sledding minimum age is 12 years old.
-Husky Rush tour is for kids 3 years and older.
-The above requirements apply with no exceptions unless otherwise agreed in writing between the tour
participant and an authorized staff member of Sky High Wilderness Ranch.


6. Price and payment
To confirm all tours and accommodations , we require a 25% deposit.
The balance of your booking will be due as outlined below
- All day tours - the day before your tour date
- All Multi day tours - 30 days prior to tour start date
- Accommodations - the day prior to arrival

7. Cancellation
You may cancel your booking by notifying Sky High Wilderness Ranch in writing only . Cancellation fees
are outlined below.
All Winter day tours and Summer day tours
-Cancellations received 72 hours or more before your departure - Full refund will be issued
-Cancellations received less than 72 hours before your departure - No Refund will be issued
All Multi Day Tours
-Cancellations received 30 days or more before your tour start - 75% of total cost will be refunded(25%
deposit will be retained )
-Cancellations received less than 30 days before your tour start date - NO Refund
Accommodations
-Cancellations 72 hours or more before check in time- 25% of deposit will be refunded
-Cancellations received less than 72 hours in advance- No refund, full payment will be due
Transportation
Cancellation Received 72 hours or more before check in time: 25% of the deposit will be refunded.
Cancellation received less than 72 hours in advance - no refund, full payment will be due.

 

Sky High Wilderness Ranch is not responsible for any incidental expensed or consequential
losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking such as but not limited to non
refundable flights, loss earnings or loss of enjoyment.

8. Changes of itinerary
In the case where Sky High Wilderness Ranch has to cancel a trip due to minimum numbers not being
met, we shall refund the full amount paid. We reserve the right to do so within 14 days prior to departure
of our trip.
Sky High Wilderness Ranch reserves the right to change itineraries or even cancel a trip, rental or tour if
we feel we are forced to do so by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., snow conditions, temperatures,
blizzards, forest fires and floods etc.). If this occurs, we shall endeavor to meet your needs with another
trip date / itinerary at the earliest convenience.
Summer & Winter Day Trips
Should we be forced to cancel any of our day trips prior to their start time, due to events beyond our
control (weather) that make it unsafe for us to take clients on a particular tour, we will try and offer an
alternative tour option.
Should we be forced to change itineraries or shorten a day trip due to events beyond our control, such as
but not limited to weather, that make it unsafe for us to continue, we will be unable to provide guests with
a refund. Our guides will try their best to offer an experience as close as possible to the tour booked.
Multi-Day Trips
Should we be forced to shorten or change itineraries on one of our multi-day trips, due to events beyond
our control (weather, breakdowns, floods or wildfires) that make it unsafe for us to stick with the original
itinerary, we will be unable to provide guests with a refund.


9. Insurance and Liability
We are fully insured by Avid Insurance and licensed by Yukon Wilderness Tourism, License No. 23,
however you will be required to sign a release of claims and waiver of liability form upon arrival for any
activities taking place on the premises.


10.Safety Equipment
Sky High Wilderness Ranch will require the wear of approved safety equipment while participating in
certain activities.You are aware that there are guides and /or instructors available to answer any
questions you may have to proper use of such equipment.
-Helmets for our Horse trails rides supplied by Sky High Wilderness Ranch.
-Proper Winter clothing for extreme cold , Sky High Wilderness Ranch has Winter clothing available for rent.

11. Additional Information
Sky High Wilderness Ranch reserves the right to deny you permission to participate in any aspect of a
tour at any time and at your own risk and expense where Sky High Wilderness Ranch and its licensed
guides determine that your physical or mental conditions renders you unfit for participation or you
represent a danger to yourself or other. Examples are if participant -
- refuses to use approved safety equipment
- is under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or any other illegal drugs
- has no sufficient knowledge of the English language to be able to follow instructions
- has pre- existing injuries that will not allow for physical exercise
- is not in a physical condition to exercise as needed
- has no travel/medical insurance
- failure to provide accurate medical form
- Is not following instructions provided by the guides
- is disrespectful with Sky High Wilderness Ranch employees, with animals or other members of
the group.

By booking or participating in a tour and/or any related products or services with Sky High Wilderness Ranch, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

By booking a tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you make a booking on behalf of other participants, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept—and do accept—these terms on behalf of all other participants in your party.

1. Reservation and Payment (Multi-Day and Day Tours)
  • Booking Method: We accept reservations via phone or email, after which we will email you our official reservation form.

  • Deposits (Multi-Day Tours): To secure your spot on a multi-day tour, a non-refundable down payment of 25% CAD is required within 10 days of your confirmed reservation. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe, the reservation will be cancelled without further notice. A binding legal contract is formed upon our receipt of the down payment.

  • Final Payment: Full payment is due 30 days prior to tour departure. Payment can be made via wire transfer or through the online payment link provided in your invoice.

  • Currency & Taxes: All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to 5% GST (Tax).
     

General Booking Policies:
  • Availability: All tours are subject to availability. We highly recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment.

  • Confirmations: Your booking is confirmed only when you receive a direct email from Sky High Wilderness Ranch containing your invoice and a receipt for your deposit/payment. Please review your confirmation carefully and notify our office immediately of any errors.

  • Age Limits: You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. You agree to provide full, complete, and accurate information to Sky High Wilderness Ranch.

  • Adventure Risks & Waivers: You acknowledge that adventure travel and the services offered at Sky High Wilderness Ranch involve a significant amount of risk. You must read, understand, and complete a liability waiver/release form before participating in any tour.

  • Animal Proximity & Allergies: Our tours and services include close proximity to our dogs and horses, which are an integral part of our ranch family. By booking, you acknowledge that you are comfortable around a large number of dogs and large horses, and that you do not have severe allergies to them.

  • Personal Pets: For the safety of our animals and guests, you are strictly prohibited from bringing your own dog to any tours, accommodations, or services we offer.
     

2. Required Medical Information
  • Medical Forms: For all multi-day adventures, you must complete the Sky High Wilderness Ranch Medical Form. Our office will send this to you once your booking is confirmed.

  • Pre-existing Conditions: If you have a pre-existing medical condition that may impact your ability to travel, participate in a tour, travel to remote areas without immediate access to medical facilities, or adversely affect the experience of others, you must provide a medical history form signed by a licensed, practicing physician.

  • Pregnancy: Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed to Sky High Wilderness Ranch at the time of booking.

  • Deadlines & Cancellation: If you fail to complete and return the required medical form by the deadline indicated on your booking confirmation, Sky High Wilderness Ranch reserves the right to cancel your booking, and standard cancellation fees will apply.

  • Personal Assessment: You are solely responsible for assessing whether a tour is suitable for you. While Sky High Wilderness Ranch cannot provide medical advice, you are welcome to contact us to discuss expected physical fitness levels and potential environmental risks.
     

3. Travel Insurance

Sky High Wilderness Ranch strongly recommends that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This insurance must cover personal injury and medical emergency expenses. We also strongly recommend extending your coverage to include trip cancellation, curtailment, and all other expenses resulting from loss, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience while traveling.

Sky High Wilderness Ranch is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses you incur as a result of injury or illness. You are fully responsible for all costs associated with, but not limited to:

  • Medical evacuation during the trip due to personal injury or death.

  • Hospital or medical bills.

  • Trip cancellation fees.

  • Additional fees due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., flight delays or cancellations).

  • Non-refundable flights.

  • Loss of earnings or loss of enjoyment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any tours. It is your sole responsibility to obtain sufficient coverage, comply with your policy's terms, and advise your insurer of the exact type of travel, destinations, and activities included in your booking. You must also obtain, at your own expense, all required border documentation for Canadian Customs. If you are refused passage by a carrier or customs due to lack of documentation, no refunds will be issued.
 

4. Special Requirements
 

All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be clearly disclosed to Sky High Wilderness Ranch on your medical form. Sky High Wilderness Ranch will use all reasonable efforts to accommodate your dietary requests.
 

5. Age Requirements
 
  • Minors: Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of travel is considered a minor. Minors must be accompanied by an adult, and their liability waiver must be signed by a legal guardian.

  • Multi-Day & Half-Day Dog Sledding: The minimum age is 12 years old.

  • Husky Rush Tour: Open to children 3 years and older.

  • Exceptions to the rules above apply only if explicitly agreed upon in writing by an authorized staff member of Sky High Wilderness Ranch.
     

6. Price and Payment Schedule
 

To confirm any tour or accommodation, a 25% deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid according to the following schedule:

  • Day Tours: Due the day before your scheduled tour date.

  • Multi-Day Tours: Due 30 days prior to your tour start date.

  • Accommodations: Due the day prior to your scheduled arrival.
     

7. Cancellation Policy
 

You may cancel your booking by notifying Sky High Wilderness Ranch in writing only. Cancellation fees are applied based on when the notice is received:
 

Winter and Summer Day Tours
  • 72 hours or more before departure: Full refund issued.

  • Less than 72 hours before departure: No refund issued.
     

Multi-Day Tours
  • 30 days or more before tour start date: 75% of the total cost will be refunded (the 25% deposit is retained).

  • Less than 30 days before tour start date: No refund issued.
     

Accommodations
  • 72 hours or more before check-in time: 25% of the total deposit will be refunded.

  • Less than 72 hours before check-in time: No refund issued; full payment remains due.
     

Transportation
  • 72 hours or more before scheduled time: 25% of the total deposit will be refunded.

  • Less than 72 hours before scheduled time: No refund issued; full payment remains due.

Sky High Wilderness Ranch is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred due to a cancelled booking (including non-refundable flights, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment).
 

8. Changes to Itinerary & Cancellations by the Ranch
 
Cancellations Due to Low Enrollment

If Sky High Wilderness Ranch must cancel a trip because the minimum number of participants has not been met, a full refund of all monies paid will be issued. We reserve the right to cancel for this reason up to 14 days prior to departure.
 

Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

Sky High Wilderness Ranch reserves the right to change itineraries or cancel any trip, rental, or tour if forced to do so by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., poor snow conditions, extreme temperatures, blizzards, forest fires, floods, etc.). In these events, we will endeavor to find an alternative trip date or itinerary that meets your needs at the earliest convenience.

  • Summer & Winter Day Trips: If a day trip is cancelled prior to starting due to safety concerns or extreme weather, we will attempt to offer an alternative tour option. If we are forced to shorten or alter an itinerary after the tour has begun due to unsafe conditions, no refunds will be provided. Our guides will do their best to offer an experience as close to the original booking as possible.

  • Multi-Day Trips: If we are forced to shorten or change an itinerary on a multi-day trip due to events beyond our control (weather, equipment breakdowns, floods, or wildfires) to ensure guest safety, no refunds will be issued.
     

9. Insurance and Liability
 

Sky High Wilderness Ranch is fully insured by Avid Insurance and licensed by Yukon Wilderness Tourism (License No. 23). However, all participants are strictly required to sign a Release of Claims and Waiver of Liability Form upon arrival before participating in any activities on the premises.
 

10. Safety Equipment
 

Sky High Wilderness Ranch requires the use of approved safety equipment during specific activities. Guides and instructors are always available to answer questions regarding the proper fit and use of this gear.

  • Horseback Trail Rides: Approved riding helmets are mandatory and are supplied by Sky High Wilderness Ranch.

  • Extreme Cold Weather: Proper winter apparel is mandatory for extreme cold environments. High-quality winter clothing is available for rent from the ranch.
     

11. Right to Deny Participation
 

Sky High Wilderness Ranch and its licensed guides reserve the right to deny any participant permission to join or continue any aspect of a tour, at any time and at the participant's own risk and expense, if it is determined that their physical or mental condition renders them unfit for participation, or if they represent a danger to themselves or others.

Reasons for immediate denial of participation include, but are not limited to, instances where the participant:

  • Refuses to wear or use approved safety equipment.

  • Is under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or any illegal drugs.

  • Does not possess sufficient knowledge of the English language to understand and follow safety instructions.

  • Has pre-existing injuries or physical conditions that prevent them from safely undertaking the required physical exercise.

  • Fails to provide an accurate medical form or lacks valid travel/medical insurance.

  • Fails to follow instructions provided by the guides.

  • Demonstrates disrespectful, abusive, or unsafe behavior toward Sky High Wilderness Ranch employees, animals, or other group members.
