A guide will drive the sled while you are sitting, taking pictures and enjoying the ride
Ride of 30 to 45 minutes depending on the weather, temperature and size of the group.

DETAILS

Experience the beautiful back country in pure Yukon Style by dogsled in the hands of an expert dog sled guide
Take in the amazing mountain views of the Fish Lake Area.

After the dogsled ride, learn about dog sledding history and life as a musher then and now, visit a race Check point while you are around the campfire roasting your Bison Smoky and your yummy sticky S'mores and sipping hot chocolate.

Step back in time at our prospector cabin, weigh in your own "gold nugget" and find out if you've hit pay dirt!

Trails and length of the tour will vary dependent on snow/ice and temperature conditions.

NOTE : dogsled tours run snow, cold or shine! No cancellations unless the guide decides for safety reasons. Please ask for our cancellation policy.

Need a ride ?

We can provide round trip transfer, included in this tour. Pick up are from any downtown hotel or hostel (pick up at 12:10pm). Or if you want to drive yourself, our Ranch is located approx. 30 minutes drive from downtown Whitehorse on the Fish Lake Road. We are at Km 16 and have a 30' sign by our driveway on the right hand side of the road.

What to bring ?

Winters in the Yukon can mean temperatures as low as -30 Celsius, so it is important to be prepared. We recommend you wear a warm jacket, snow pants, boots, hat, mitts and something to cover your face and ears (Neck warmer or balaclava). We will provide parkas, snow pants, mitts and boots if yours are not warm enough. There will be plenty of photo opportunities so bring your camera!

Fitness & Safety

Please note that dog sledding is comparable to downhill skiing and does require you to be in relatively good physical shape. During this tour, the guide can ask you to help. All clients must sign a waiver! Parent/guardian sign for children.

All our tours are guided for your safety. Before commencing on any activity, you will be given basic safety instruction and our fully certified guides always travel with a well stocked First Aid Kit on any tour.
